A Matter of Balance is an award-winning program designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels. This program uses a variety of techniques to address the fear of falling and teach fall prevention strategies.

A group of adults sitting around tables in a classroom setting, possibly in a workshop or meeting, with papers and name tags visible.

Participants will learn to view falls as controllable, set goals for increasing activity, make changes to reduce fall risks at home, and exercise to increase strength and balance. Participants who should attend are anyone concerned about falls, interested in improving balance, flexibility and strength, and has restricted activities because of falling concerns.
