Who Are We?

The Mission Oaks Teen Advisory Board (MOTAB) empowers teens to lead community events, service projects, and initiatives that foster local engagement and well-being. Through planning, collaboration, and leadership development, members inspire youth involvement and create meaningful impact within the district.

What to expect?

Teen Board is a hands-on, interactive program designed for teens who want to get involved, grow, and make a real impact in their community. This is not a sit-back-and-watch kind of board—members play an active role in bringing ideas to life and shaping programs and events for their peers.

As a Teen Board member, you can expect to build valuable professional and leadership skills that support your future goals, including college applications and career development. Members also earn meaningful volunteer hours while giving back in a fun and rewarding way.

It’s not all work—members will also get to enjoy fun field trips and outings, including visits to amusement parks, entertainment spots, and other exciting activities in and around Sacramento. It’s a great way to bond with other teens and make lasting memories while being part of the program.

Throughout the year, members will collaborate with peers, support community events, and take part in creative projects that truly make a difference. Whether you’re helping plan an event, leading a project, or sharing new ideas, Teen Board gives you the chance to lead, create, and leave your mark.
