Explanation of Trip: Enjoy a day on this government built island named for the Robert Louis Stevenson novel. Treasure Island was built from 1936 to 1937 for the 1939 World's Fair. We will visit the WWII Terminal to relive history through the murals representing the naval history of the area. Then we will move on to a delicious three course meal prepared and served by the Job Corp students from throughout the USA. The culinary school is CASH ONLY! Bring your camera for some breathtaking views of San Francisco, Alcatraz and other parts of the bay. If the group wants, we will stop at a vegetable/fruit market on the way home.
