We will tour this historical and sacred place. The monks spend their day in quiet prayer, group readings, and manual labor. The history winds through Leland Stanford, William Randolph Hearst, and others. The history will tie together various generations and socio-economic themes of yesteryear. If you love history, this is a trip for you. The monks make several products including wine. If you are interested in wine tasting, please let the tour guide and van driver know. Bring money for lunch at the Olive Pit in Corning.
