Camp Swanston 

DATE: June 14 - August 13                

LOCATION: Swanston Park, 2350 Northrop Ave., Sacramento       

TIME: AM session: 8:00am - 12:30pm

             PM session: 12:30pm - 5:00pm

AGES: 4-11 years old (spaces limited)

COST: $30/week for half day; $60/week for full day

 

With no summer school this year, we are extending Camp Swanston to full day!  Participants may sign up for the morning or afternoon sessions, or both!  The program will go for nine weeks, with an exciting new theme each week!

The themes for Camp Swanston 2010 are as follows:

 

Week 1 (6/14-6/18): Welcome to Camp Swanston!

Week 2 (6/21-6/25): Sports O'Rama

Week 3 (6/28-7/2): Animania

Week 4 (7/5-7/9): All-American Kids

Week 5 (7/12-7/16): Superheroes to the Rescue!

Week 6 (7/19-7/23): Treasure Island

Week 7 (7/26-7/30): Frogs and Lizards (Nature Week)

Week 8 (8/2-8/6): Out of this World

Week 9 (8/9-8/13): End of Summer Bash!!

 

Trained recreation leaders will provide kids with a safe and fun summer day camp that will include arts and crafts, games, sports activities, special events and more!  Participants will also enjoy playing in the Swanston Splashpark!   Parents have the option to sign up for weeklly sessions or DROP-IN for $7/half day; $14/full day.*

 

Registration:

  • Registration for Camp Swanston will begin April 12. You must register for the first week of camp no later than Thursday, June 10 by 12:00pm noon. For the weeks following, registration is due by 12:00pm the Thursday before camp.
  • Register online HERE, faxed, mailed, or in person at the Swanston Community Center, Mission Oaks District Office, or Mission Oaks Community Center. Forms may be faxed to 488-4349, credit card and expiration date must accompany fax. Payment must accompany mail registration forms. Cash, check, or money order or Visa will be accepted. Make checks payable to MORPD, check must contain a work or home phone number. 
  • Walk-in registration will be open, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at Swanston Community Center or the District Office.

*To register DROP-IN, participants must arrive a minimum of 15 minutes before program to register.
