Carmichael Running Club WHO: Students in 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. DATES: 2/22/10 - 4/11/10 PRACTICE: Monday and Wednesday 3:00 pm at Mission Ave School. Optional 3rd practice TBA. New Runners- Parent or Guardian REQUIRED to attend 1st practice on February 22nd at Mission Avenue School on the Soccer Field. Returning Runners- First practice March 1st. FIELD TRIP: February 23rd or 24th - practice will be from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. (Fleet Feet shoe fitting) COST: $130 per participant Registration fee includes: 7 weeks of training, 2 days per week with optional 3rd day Asics Running shoes fitted by Fleet Feet CRC uniform - Asics singlet and shorts Fleet Feet water bottle Pre-race pasta party Zoo Zoom Race Entry Fee Race day shirt and race day festivities with post race entry to the Sacramento Zoo. Guest Speakers - Nutrition, Fitness, Stretching (yoga), Science of shoes (shoe technology and shoe fitting), and Hydration Running goal set by age and ability, not place of race finish Promote individual achievement Education on the sport of running (pace, stride, breathing, etc.)
